BS&B SmartSystem™ - the Wireless Platform of Choice

The BS&B SmartSystem™ Wireless Sensor Communication & Monitoring System brings intelligent, reliable and cost effective communications technology to sensor monitoring without the traditional expense of wiring between the sensor and the monitor.

Operating Principle
An ultra high frequency radio transmitter is fitted to a sensor. When an event occurs, the sensor changes state typically from “closed circuit” to “open circuit” and the transmitter broadcasts the event. A receiving station is configured to recognize this transmission. The receiving station identifies a unique signal from the transmitter and issues an immediate alert identifying the sensor activation. Annunciation of the sensor “change of state” can be through a monitor integral to the receiving station, relay outputs in the receiving station, or existing user control systems.

The SmartSystem cost effectively provides sensor monitoring and the option of alerts for up to 32 devices per receiving station module.

Universal Appeal
The BS&B Wireless System has universal appeal that can be used to monitor more than pressurized systems. Inaddition to monitoring the simple switch or membrane type sensors used with pressure relief devices, any application that requires accurate and frequent measurement is suitable for the Wireless System. With the ability to transmit any 4-20 mA 0-5 Vdc or pulse type output signal, it provides real-time monitoring and tracking solutions for a variety of instrumentation used in industrial settings. The system is also perfect for locations where running conduit or cable is impossible due to cost, location or safety considerations
